FAQ

  • What are organic wastes?

Organic waste is the remains of food, such as food scraps, fruit and vegetable peels, eggshells, coffee, tea and tea leaves, that come from cooking and human activities. These materials are compostable, meaning they can be transformed into compost, a nutrient-rich material that can be used as fertilizer for plants and gardens.

  • What is Compostyle?

Compostyle is an innovative device that allows you to drastically reduce organic waste into high-quality dehydrated soil, starting from household appliances to devices for businesses and communities. It is an electromechanical composter with thermophilic microorganisms that can transform organic food waste into soil in just 24 hours, without adding structuring agents or liquids, and without fumes, gases or odors. Thanks to this simple and rapid solution, Compostyle promotes a sustainable lifestyle and allows you to avoid the environmental impact of organic waste, with a significant reduction in polluting emissions into the atmosphere.

  • What happens if some materials like plastic bags bottle caps etc. enter the machine?

The biological processes in the machine are not affected by small amounts of non-biodegradable material. However, these materials take up valuable space in the machine and should be avoided. Such materials can be removed from the machine through viewing windows, where provided. Otherwise they exit with the compost from the machine outlet.

  • What happens if the machine is loaded with excess organic material?

Compostyle is designed to handle 10% excess organic material. However, if more organic waste is loaded, the work of the Compostyle will be prolonged in a longer time to form the soil.

  • Can the soil be used immediately?

The soil can be used immediately. But in percentage (10% Te-d and 90% soil). However, given the drastic reduction in food waste, it is still recommended to wait at least 30 days before taking the sample.

  • How can I make organic fertilizer from biodegradable food waste?

Choosing a Compostyle device for composting organic waste instead of traditional composting techniques. This is the best option. The basic working principle of this machine is that it is an aerobic decomposition process (no odor, no pathogenic activity) that occurs in a chamber. The output we get is nothing but soil that can be used as fertilizer for gardening.

  • What is the daily reduction capacity of the devices?

The reduction capacity of Compostyle is approximately 90% in weight and volume in the time frame of 30/40 days.

  • Does the Compostyle have harmful emissions?

    No.

  • What can be stored inside the Compostyle?

Fish, fish bones, meat, poultry, vegetables, fruit, pasta, rice, bread and pastries, eggshells.

  • Can organic fertilizer be used directly in gardens/fields?

Yes. Organic fertilizer can be used directly in gardens or plants, only if mixed with soil since it is concentrated, it must be mixed with soil in the ratio of 10:1 (soil:compost) and then added to the plants.

  • Does the device always have to be active?

Yes, the device must remain connected to the electricity 24 hours a day. However, the Compostyle technology is designed to consume a minimal amount of energy, thanks to its ability to harness the energy produced during the composting process to power the device itself. This results in low overall energy consumption, minimizing the environmental impact of the composting process and contributing to a sustainable economy.

  • How much fertilizer is produced per day?

Approximately 10% to 15% of the incoming organic waste is converted into dehydrated soil.

  • What happens to the smell?

The odor is controlled by an odor filtering system (patented), which is an integral part of the Compostyle.

  • Does the composter require an experienced operator?

The operator is only needed to deliver the material according to the capacity of the device (by hand or by lifting the bin) since it is completely automatic.

  • What is the warranty for the Compostyle?

The 12 month warranty is provided on manufacturing defects only.

  • What can I do with organic fertilizer?

It can be used for vegetable gardens, plants and flowers, as specified in the instructions for use, excellent soil nutrient.
